Anne Rees

1997 - 2001: Studied on the 'Joint Course', graduating from the University of Manchester (2:1) in 2000 and the Royal Northern College of Music (Upper Division) in 2001, having studied piano with Helen Krizos.

2000/2001: Accompanist to the Manchester University Chorus

2001: Finalist in RNCM 'Bachspielen' and 'Recital Prize' competitions & Awarded the Peter Frankl Prize for Piano & the Hilda Collens Memorial Award

2001-2006: Taught piano at the Junior RNCM, Manchester, UK; Stockport School & Ramilies Hall School

2000 - 2006: Accompanist to the Robin Singers (previously named Cantoriana) - Bramhall, UK

2003 to 2024: Raising our 4 youngsters and home-schooling them. Running a local community choir for 4- 11yr olds; Running a weekly music appreciation class for home-schooled children. Accompanying for local music festivals;

2019 to present:  Accompanist for ABRSM exams, grades 1 through to LRSM diplomas and accompanist for Stockport Voices alongside private teaching - Stockport, UK; Composing songs and editing videos for use during lockdown by our church's Sunday School: Bible Explorers GBCS - Youtube; Helping to run a weekly community lunch.
