I hope you find something fresh and new here.

I trained as a classical pianist at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK. Having done so, I always want to write music which feels right under the fingers and which also feels satisfying to play in terms of the harmonies and textures and challenges.

I have always enjoyed singing and love the sounds of the various modes used within the world of folk music and have wanted to incorporate these sounds within my music. I also love the countryside, especially being up on the fells of the Lake District or Derbyshire. I come up with most of my melodies when I'm out and about in the hills. As well as composing music I'm also interested in breathing some fresh air into old, well known folk melodies, arranging them for piano.

I hope that my music provides some light relief for students who are inbetween the more advanced grades, and also some easy listening music suitable for including in a concert.

Please do leave feedback - positive criticism is always welcome!
